Devide 30 by half, and add 10. I think you were meant to say we'll ask an english teacher, because that's where the comunicational breakdown is. It does not depend on the way the questioned is interpreted, because there's only one way it can be! Devide 30 by half! Where you get a half of 1 from? To bring into this eqation? 1 is no where within the question. We can ask any1 you want, as longest they have some higher education credentials, and ill agree not to disagree with them. Simple question devide 30 by half, if they wanted you to devide by half of 1 they would have stated that within the question, but they don't, because it is understood that the question is reffering to half as 50%. Every half in this world is always going to be 50%, can not be otherwise! 50% is half, and 0.5 is 50% and is also a half of 1, thats correct I'm not arguing that ! But, devide 30 by half (by 50%), is not to devide by 0.5 ! But to devide by 50% of 30, which is 15. So therefore, 30/15+10=12 how many dumb people are possibly out there ?

70, correct? Not dividing by 2, but by 1/2. I think.
That one was good why use only 15 when you divide 30 in half. But for me the answer is =70. Where I get that from? You have to stop using calculator. Use your notebook and pen. 30 divide by half is 30 ÷ 1/2 = then you have to invert and multiply 30 x 2= 60 and the 1pass to the other side of the = symbol to divide 60 like 60/1=60 now you add the 10 ..... 60+10=70. Now check this, why I use 1/2 when referring to half ? Forget about the question and just write half in a paper. What you get. 1/2 or 0.5 simple. You get the same result. 30 ÷ 0.5 = 60 and 60 + 10 = 70 or 30 ÷ 1/2 = 60/1 = 60 and 60 + 10 = 70
There is 2 possibilities.....
1, as many of you said the ans is 70(30*.5+10=70)
2, if they had mentioned 'one half', then the ans will be only 70, but since they didnt mention 'one half' half could be half of 30..... That means 30 divided by half means 30/15=2 then add 10=12...
But 25 is a dumb ans!

Half of 30 is 15, add ten = 25
30 *1/2 =15
15+10=25
15+10=25
Yea...25 half of thirty is 15 plus ten would be 25
25
Divide by half is 30/ 15 = 2 add 10 = 12 then minus 2 = 10

Half of 30 is 15 plus 10 is 25. The answer is 25.
If it is done as interpreted, meaning 30 divided by half would be half of 30=15. Divide 30 by 15, you get 2. Add 10, you get 12. This really has many possible answers!
But .5 is not really a half.
It is only a half if you start with 1 before making an equal division into 2 parts.
And that is what divide by half, or into halves means.
It means cut it into 2 equal pieces, or divide by 2.

'Divide' 30 by a half and add 10: There is only one answer : 70 25 is what you get if you 'multply' 30 by a half and add ten
Can You Divide 30 By Half And Add Ten?
Here its not half of 30.
Its just half means 0.5
Then
30/0.5=60
60+10=70
Ans: 70
Its Exactly correct.
