There was no overall commander solely in charge of the entire pacific arena during World War Two, as the pacific campaign was split into different regions. Of the names you mentioned, Admiral Chester W Nimitz commanded the North and South Pacific Areas, while General Douglas MacArthur commanded the South-West Pacific Area.

The Pacific Ocean Area was split into three zones, two of which, South and North, Nimitz delegated to subordinates, while taking charge of the Central Area himself. This zone included Hawaii, the Midway Island, the Mariana Islands and the Marshall Islands.

MacArthur took charge of the South-West Area, which included the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia), the Philippines, and much of what is now Malaysia.

Eisenhower and Read

Of the two other names you mentioned, General Dwight Eisenhower, later to become the 34th President of the USA, commanded the European Theater of operations, overseeing the liberation of Europe which began in the June 1944 D-Day landings. I am unaware of anyone with similar status by the name of George Read, unless you mean George Marshall, chief military adviser to President Roosevelt during the war.
