Ofcourse not....many people think that exams should be abolished because it gives their children more pressure and stress ...which encourages cramming ,but in my opinion  exams should never be banned.Even exams are the only way for the teachers to get the feedback of the students. It encourages their moral values and and make them self disciplined.this is a bitter truth that we have to face challenges throughout our lives.school examinations gives us a boost of confidence within ourselves which is always useful for self-esteem and helps us to fight the future problems .so the exams should not be abolished and people should also show some positive attidude towards exams beside taking out the side effects of exams..

This is rather a general question, but, no, exams should not be abolished.  Until a better form of demonstrating knowledge comes along, exams must remain in place.

In the world of occupations, exams are especially useful.  A given state, county, town, or other regionally-governed area requires certain knowledge for certain occupations.  The most effective way of evaluating an individual's knowledge of a given topic is the use of exams.  These can be written exams, oral exams, tests of skill, or any combination of the three.

The same is true in the education realm.  Exams are used to enforce knowledge gained throughout the term and to ensure individuals have learned what is necessary to move onto the next level or to graduate.

Exams are stressful and that they give no real indication of ability. It says that students should not be judged on their performance on one day when they may be ill for instance. They say a far fairer approach is project work and continual assessment..so..EXAMS SHOULD BE ABOLISHED RIGHT AWAY!

Exams in Classes represent a focused experience of what we face in life generally, and more specifically what we meet in the working world and as we groom our families.  Exams should therefore not be abolished. What is an exam? An effort to learn if someone has understood what he or she is taught.  After this is ascertained those who do well feel a boost of confidence, which is always good for self-esteem; which naturally influences how we face future problems. If one does badly, and seeks to apply him or herself better the next time around, then that too can help to nuture skills and attititues which helps one to deal with future problems. Please remeber Schools prepares you for Life's exams, one may not get an A or B ect.. For the things one does in the wider world, but if we are cultured to proove out best in school, through exams, it will culture an attitude which will help us to want to excel despite the challenges we face.

Personally, I would say no. They are a very good tool for the teacher to gauge how well the class as a whole and any given individual is doing in the class and how well they are grasping any given concept. Without tests there would be no way to tell how well the class is doing, and there is no way to ensure that the class is paying attention.

No, I think that exams help kids remember all the stuff they learned. I, at least, usually forget everything we learned in a certain chapter after the test and exams help me remember the basic idea so that I don't lose the information completely.

You know there are many disadvantages of Exam,so we should try to improve it,for example, exam make many students and teachers focus only on the marks but not the ability, even the society judge a person by his marks at school, this is harmful to the young generation and also to many family,so we should change this situation.

No exams should not be abolished.
Exams are the only way to know about the preparation of a student that what he/she prepare.
If exams would abolished then a student can lose his/her remembering power.

My opinion differs because of my school. We don't take exams at all except for like the regions and that's your choice. We do like portfolio reviews where like someone from the city or wherever comes and interviews us and we like show them what we've learned. Then during senior year we have to do this whole project in order to pass. I think it's cool!

I'm a Medical laboratory tech student, and as much as I hate exams, I know they're important to show what Ive learned. I certainly wouldn't want a medical laboratory tech performing tests on my blood that would determine course of treatment for an illness unless I know for certain that they have proven they KNOW what they are doing. Exams are the only way to determine without doubt that someone truly knows the material taught to them. When I go for National Board Exams, I know It'll be hard, but when I pass them, I KNOW I will be able to perform the job I have been training for.

They should not be abolished because they help to prove that you know what you are learning. I am a student too but as much as I hate exams I know we need them :) so instead of wasting time on the comp. Playing GTA and other awkward games y don't we use the time to study. I feel really strongly about this.

While I would agree that the whole of children want to get rid of them, the adults know that you need them, to make sure that you know what you are learning. How would you like going to apply for a job that requires the knowledge that you were supposed to learn in school, and didn't because you weren't tested to make sure that you knew it.

They should totally be abolished, they just stress students out and make them worry and might not be able to do there best on the exam or test. Also, it puts months and months of studying on the line and you only have one chance to do your best. And also just the word test or exam makes some kids sweat. So yes they need to be abolished!
