Here are the steps to solve this equation.

  1. Set up your original problem: (x + 8 = 6x)
  2. Now, you want 8 by itself, so you have only x's on the right side. In order to do so, you subtract "x" on both sides.
    1. After doing so, you are left with 8 = 5x.
  3. To find x, now you just divide both sides by 5.
    1. Your answer will be an improper fraction (8/5). You can turn it into a mixed number (1 and 3/5) or write it as a decimal (1.6). You have 3 different ways to write the answer to this question, but they are all equal to each other. If converting to a mixed number or decimal is too confusing, you can leave it as just an improper fraction.

Not sure this is an equation. Looks like a simple distribution though the operator could be dropped here.

(X + 8)6X

= 6X^2 + 48X
=======================Possible?

Possibly, or even an inequality. Thank you for catching that.

You are welcome.
I see all the action here is in math, so I will try to solve the few problems you leave me!
