I recently discovered a video tutorial course called "Sexy Mandarin" that changed my whole view on language learning. The course features scantily clad models teaching Mandarin during "everyday situations".
I have to admit, after watching the first lesson, that I can't remember how to say "What time is it?" or "my husband is waiting, I better go" - but it's an interesting concept nonetheless.
Slightly sexist though... Do they really think guys can't pay attention and learn anything unless the teacher is wearing sexy lingerie??

How to learn a new language
In all honesty though, I would probably say travelling and immersing yourself in the culture and language of a different country is the best way to learn a new language.
Not only is it the easiest and most natural way to pick up a language, but you'll also learn all the colloquialisms and turns of phrase that native speakers use, but that text-books might omit.
I picked up quite a few useful Japanese, Mandarin, and Korean phrases by working in a sushi restaurant alongside native speakers. I would recommend that experience for sure!
