Working out what percentage you got on a test or quiz based on the mark you received is actually pretty simple.
Let's say you scored 17 out of 20 on a pop quiz. That's the first fraction you will need then: 17/20
To turn that into a percentage, you simply multiply by 100/1.
17/20 x 100/1
To multiply fractions, you multiply across
So it would look like:
17 x 100/20 x 1
= 1700/20
= 85
And that's your answer - 85%
