These fractions have common denominators.

So, ask yourself, is 8 greater than 5?

Yes, 8/3 is greater than 5/3. Because you see how many times can 3 go into 8? 3 can go into 8, twice with a remander of 2. So the answer would be 2 2/3, then for the other one 5 can go into 3 once. So it'd be 1 2/3.
