I agree with Corey. History is my main subject. Weaponology is the next best favorite of mine. Man, the stuff we make nowadays!

I'm fascinated by the imponderables, the questions for which there can be no answers -- the why? What? How? Of human life.

I suppose I could get just as much frustration wearing a hair shirt, but seeking answers to impossible questions is more fun.

I saw your question but didn't bother with it. I think the reason nobody answered is that there are no satisfying answers, and it's the kind of question that elicits a religious response -- which is sometimes out of place in a forum like this.

Your question assumes there was a reason for being born. There isn't. It's just part of the process of nature. Two people mate, an offspring comes into the world.

So we are born to live, to have a life. The inevitability of death doesn't diminish the value of life, or the joy we can share while we have it. To assume that "we are born to die" is taking a negative point of view that lacks a basis in reality and perhaps prevents us from achieving our potential.

At my age i know that death isn't too far away. I acknowledge it occasionally but don't dwell on it. I enjoy my life and still try to learn new things, do new things. While there are still mountains to climb (or to hobble up) life is still exciting, still an adventure.

You need to re-focus and find a happier point of view.
