Im not sure where you are connecting the dots between the two. I am sure there is plenty mathmations who are wonderful writers but i don't think it has anything to do with the fact that they are great with numbers

No, I don't think so and I'm not sure also because it might be possible that a person is good at math and writing too.
Some mathematicians write beautiful prose and some do not. But to give them fair credit, in ANY society it's the mathematicians who really count.
