There are plus and minor for both. I really think kids need the social connections. Public schools are not always a good thing for some kids, but if the parents aren’t up to the task of Home schooling the kids will suffer. It really depends on the child.

Hello, I went to a regular school and I do not think that
being homeschooled is better. This
is mainly because I learned how to communicate with elders, I made a lot
of friends and I had the chance to participate in various activities which
allowed me to discover my skills.

Yes if the youth is getting the right type of education that a parent can give them i am all for home schooled. There was some girl use to be on here and she was home school and she was very intelligent so i believe there is some truth to it plus youths are at lower risk of being bullied and you know bullies can take away ones education cause i was victim of abuse from peers in school and sometimes i wish my mother could of home schooled me and my sister but that was back in the early 70's when i started school so yes it's hard to say i think home schooled is better.

It is more difficult to be regimented and to follow course outlines  but home schooling has its advantages. It is an almost full time job but if you can afford to be a stay home parent, then I believe it is a better type of schooling. For one thing its safer...no need for a weapon search/ scanner. Save a ton of money on clothes, lunches and travel expenses. You also have the avoidance of the influence of pier pressure that is so rampant in public schools.

I home school my kids. Another plus is if there is a family emergency in another state, we can drop everything except the lap top and go. They never fall behind or have to catch up. School was in a motel for a week when Grandpa was dying... and my kids got to say good bye.

Generally speaking ... Home schooling is better than either private or public schooling.  And with the widespread availability of lesson plans, it's easier than ever for parents.

Federal law also requires public schools to give home schooled kids the same opportunities for extracurricular activities (sports, clubs) as those enrolled in public school.  So social interaction is not an issue.
