When I was in elementary school it was in September. By the time I was in high school it was late August.

My niece's son started 2 weeks ago. They are doing year round school.

Well we started after labor day in September and get out the last week of May after that times changed and we started the last week of August and got out the first week in June . I remember there was teachers Strike like 1979 and we did not get out to June 1980 to the third week of June they made our School make up all them days due to teachers strike.
