First you divide the perimeter by 4 then multiply the sides like your trying to get the area.
For example: Perimeter is 60ft around. Divide tht by 4. You get 15. Multiply 15 and 15 and you get 225 for your answer.....

This is ONLY if it is a SQUARE

p=perimeter, n= length of side, a=area

p=4n
a=nxn = n2
a=(p/4)2

so divide by 4 then times that number by itself.
