Lowering Permit Age
I've seen a bunch of websites against it. Half of the people are against lowering it because they assume that half of the teen drivers are a bunch of idiots getting drunk while they are driving or assuming that they are immature. The fact is that their are some teenagers who aren't addicted to drinking and are actually mature. If a kid can drive a go-kart why not an actual car? People don't seem to understand that we aren't all stupid. Teenagers start to mature a lot at the age of fourteen. Instilling heavy educational courses and teachings of safety/danger at a younger age will substantially decrease the amount of accidents around the country. It's not just our class who believes in this, but top educators of the world believe in the more supervised practice you have in anything the more likely you will succeed in whatever that is. So practicing in a parking lot and open roads for an extended period of time and at a younger age with a responsible adult/teacher present at all times can only benefit society. Most parents are usually worried about their kid driving and not having enough time to get prepared. This way they can spend longer time with them from a younger age in order to instill either fear or whatever else it takes to keep the roads safe. Practice makes perfect!
