YES according to 2007 californian highway reports, more than 85.7% of car crashes are caused by teens below the age of 18 after drinking at parties with thier friends.

Every state should. Kids just don't know how to handle emergency situations till its too late

I agree, the minimum age should be raise to the age of 18 this way teenagers are more mature.

No. When the students are 17-18 years old, they are usually too occupied deciding and writing multiple college applications and essays. Some of the high school students are already graduated and away from their parents, who, in general, contribute the money needed.

No.   My kids are very young for their class.   If they change the age to 18, one wouldn't be able to drive until November of her first year of college, and the other until April of her first year in college.   I can't picture driving my college kids to school!   Delayed driver's licenses may cause hardship to some kids who need to work in the summer or after school.  

I would support a change to 17, however.   That one year often brings quite a bit of maturity that is missing at 16.   At that age, a year is a lot of growing up time.
