The only way you can become a taxi driver in Scotland is by acquiring a drivers' licence and getting your valid taxi driver's badge. These can be acquired by filling in a person's details on a printed form and submitting it to the licensing authorities along with the fees.
The details include the person's first, middle and last name, residential address, telephone number, age, date of birth, place of birth, whether any other person would be the beneficiary of the activity (with his full name, address and date of birth), details about his previous drivers' licence (if he possessed one more than a year prior to the date of application), his medical record, his criminal record, whether any authority granted or refused the applicant a driver's licence or a permit (and the authority's name), etc.
