How Do I Turn A Fraction Into A Decimal

Divide the numerator by the denominator

ex: 4/5

do 4 divided by 5 =0.8

9/10 to a decimal

Divide the numerator bye the denominater

1/5 into decimal

Well divide the numerator by the denominator.

Say your fraction is 3/4 (3 quarters):
Divide 100 by 4 (the figure on the bottom line of the fraction), that gives you 25
multiply 25 by the top line of the fraction (3) and you get 75 therefore 3/4 is the same as 75%
try it with 3/5 your answer should be 60% as follows
100 divided by 5 (= 20) multiplied by 3 = 60

The solution is very easy. You need to remember only one rule for it.
For example a figure of fraction is 5.632. Here to turn it into decimal you can remove the fraction and add as many zeros as numbers in the right side of the fraction. The solution is

5632/1000

If it was like 75/100 then it would be .75 are you following?!?!?!?

You can get the decimal by  the denominator dividing molecules.

The easiest way is to make the fraction over 100 (78/100), then take the numerator(78/100) and move the decimal point two spaces to the left (.78) and presto.

So all you basically do if remove the decimal???

Give me an example. Well, actually, I'll make one up:
1/2-  first, type into your your calc. 1 divided by 2. You should get 0.5. That's the answer. You just divide the numerator and the denominator

You DIVIDE the numerator ( TOP NUMBER ) by the denominator ( BOTTOM NUMBER ) you will get it its not hard EX 5/7   5 divied by 7 = .714285 so have  fun with it

You just divide the top number into the bottom number for example if you wanted to chage 1/5 into a decimal you divide 1 into five on a calculator and you should get 0.2 ... =]

1/2 is 0.5 , 1/4 is 0.25 3/4 is 0 .75 1/8 is 0.125

1/3 is 0.33 , 2/3 is 0.66 hope this helps
