Basically there are three formats of hypothesis which include question statement, confidential statement and If, then statement. Another type is the formalized hypothesis or structured hypothesis. I think this hypothesis formatting style is the perfect. The reason is that it predicts the relation between the two variables. In this way students can have more focus on the relation between variables. Moreover, this hypothesis style also supports experimentation. For example, if a group of students work on a formalized hypothesis, instructor can ask them to perform an experiment for the manipulation of variables.

I am giving you one example of formalized hypothesis which is as follows:

If the rate of photosynthesis is associated with  wave length of light, then exposure of the plants to various wave lengths can cause different production rate of oxygen.
