Do School Uniforms Encourage Discipline?

They encourage conformity and unity which take away individualism in th clothing arena, however, it does not change personality- just does not allow one to be a show off in clothing
 
this conformity can assist in  mental conformity as with the military when combined with the haircuts etc.  brings down personal confidences and then others can bring you to the level they want.
 
so by itself; no, but  in combination with other requirements ,yes.
