The cut off mark by JAMB (Joint Admissions and Marticulation Board) to gain admission into University of Port Harcourt's accountancy department is between 180 and 200 depending on which exact course within the department the student is hoping to start. In some circumstances students may be able to get onto a course within the accountancy department of the University of Port Harcourt without meeting the cut off mark.

This will only happen if the student shows that they are extremely capable of completing the course. A student will need to contact the department office directly to discuss this. Information about the university and its admission process can be found online at http://web.uniport.edu.ng/. Students can find out what their Joint Admissions and Marticulation Board results are on their website at http://www.jambutme.com/. In order to register with the site, students will need to have the registration letter that they have been sent to hand.

On this letter there will be a panel that can be scratched off to reveal a PIN number. This PIN number, along with the student's serial number can then be used to register on the site. Students will also need to provide an electronic copy of their passport photo that must not be any older than three months. You will then be sent a candidate card that will be required to be taken with you to the exams so that you can prove that you have registered to attend it.

The University of Port Harcourt was established in 1975 and is located in the Nigerian city of Port Harcourt. It has ten faculties including Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, Engineering, Management Sciences, Health Sciences, Science, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Agriculture. Admissions to the university are based on JAMB scores that typically have a cut off mark of at least 180.
