I think that depends on how much the students like playing sports. If they don't enjoy it much, and if their dedication to sports is not the reason for their failing grades, then I don't see a problem. However, if they're getting bad grades because they spend too much time doing sports, then opportunities to participate in sporting events could be withheld in order to raise grades. You could also use sports as an incentive to increase study habits: "No basketball practice until you've studied for an hour."
Yes they should. Thats why they are STUDENT athletes the student comes before. If they can't perform in a classroom they should perform in a game
No because I have had the experiance of being turned down for not having well enough grades for sports and it fells as if a dagger has been thrusted through your if the student loves sports they should beable to play
