Hi, I wrote my book by just going into word perfect and started keying in my thoughts. I successfully finished my book and it is registered with the Library of Congress. I think the best way to write, is just to start putting your thoughts to print and as you have new thoughts add to your book until it is finished. Your ideas may change at any time when you are a writer and that's ok. Sometimes if you wait for a complete book in your mind, you lose too much time. If I were you, I would just start writing using the computer and remember to save each time after you add new thoughts to your book. Take Care!

That really depends upon you and your writing style. If you can stick to a "single voice" easily and write readily, then go for it! If you can't, you may want to make notes about what is most important to characters, it affects what they would notice most. Notes about places and locations, colors, or emotions that these evoke. You may want a rough outline to fill in as go afterwards. It is all a process and no two authors are the same, just as with any artist.
