Share it on social networking sites like facebook and twitter so all your friends can see it and recommend it to other people. However, if you don't feel comfortable with people you know reading your short story then maybe you could share your story in the short story club. (it's in the community section.) You could also send your followers emails and ask them to read your stories and give you feedback. Another idea would be to go to the improve my writing club and ask people to give you full length reviews. This won't only make you gain popularity, you will also see what you could improve to make your story better.
