Of course. Only people around here who doesn't have a college degree or non-related one are usually people in IT, but then those people suffer from having their jobs going off-shore the most.
I don't have a degree so I bring a portfolio that shows I the work I do to any degree requiring interview. Sometimes I will bring the actual HW or SW I am working on. It really helps to show a high level of competence and enthusiasm.
