A rectangle has four sides. It also has four internal right angles. The right angles ensure that the sides are parallel... So there cannot be a rectangle that is not a parallelogram!

I don't think it's possible to have a rectangle that is not a parallelogram, since by definition the sides of a rectangle are parallel.

No offence, Ejsiegal, but there are. If you read my textbooks you WOULD know right away!!!! Im very very young and even i can tell you a square is a parallelogram just like a rectangle. The official definition of a parallelogram is: A quadrilateral with 2(!) pairs of equal sides meaning four equal sides. This site will give you several math answers ppl!!!!
