A parallelogram is a quadrilateral in which opposite sides are equal and parallel. A square is a quadrilateral in which all the sides are equal. A square also has opposite sides equal and parallel. So, a square is a type of parallelogram. The perimeter of a square is equal to four times of a side. Its area is equal to the product of two sides. Moreover, every square is a parallelogram but every parallelogram is not a square.

Yes it is.

A square has two pairs of parallel sides. It also happens to have all four corners at right angles, and the length of all 4 sides is the same
