Pounds are units of force.  Grams are units of mass.  If we assume that you are talking about the force due to gravity of a mass on the surface of Earth or some other similarly restricted condition you can use a conversion factor.  For mass on the surface of Earth:
Multiply lbs by 453.5924 to get grams
multiply grams by 0.002204623 to get lbs

It is very easy process to convert grams to pounds but most important aspect is that you should have the knowledge of the amount of grams that is required for one pound.

Pound is a bigger unit than gram and one pound amounts to 453.59237 grams. If you have this knowledge what you have to do is to apply following method.

If 453.59237 grams is equal to 1 pound, then 1 gram is equal to 1/453.59237 pounds. Then the process you have to follow is to multiply these figures with that of the amount of grams that you want to calculate the value of.
If you follow the abovementioned process it will be very easy for you to convert any amount of grams into pounds.
