What I feel is the mtech perfect for a person having a btech degree because you become a specialised in the field you choose than furthur you have oppurtunities of going abroad an work in nasa and other organisations also you can work in DRDO and ISRO with a good package, a lot of respect and passion towards creating something innovative for your country,, thus in a way you get a purpose in your life.... Whereas by doing mba you are not certain to get a salary package better if done from small colleges, also management is something which really comes from experience on your own if you r in a company ,also requires leadership skill, usually engineers succeed due to their ability of being good in numbers, but there is wide prospect after mba in earning money too.
Also one point about mtech is that you can go to furthur IAS,IES jobs afterwards with sound knowledge of your field,so don't get confused wake up early in the morning go to a garden full of beautiful flowers and think there peacefully if your mind choose to create, innovate and expand your knowledge then choose mtech whereas if you wish to be a rich man very early thus serving your family beautifully with all the luxuries then go for Mba.

More confusen is created when we doesn't know about yourself, since one who has hobby like travelling, recreation , well communication among new persons, work in group, smart etc. Than he should go for MBA.
And one who talent, smart, well knowledge about engineering, quick decision taker etc. Can go for M-TECH

so know about yourself
best of luck

Both degrees provide good job opportunities. If you want to get into management then go for MBA but if you are a technically inclined person, then go for M.tech. You just make sure one thing that you pursue either of these only from a reputed university. I was also a confused student like you last year. However, I was more confused about choosing university to pursue my masters. After a lot of research, I zeroed on UPES Dehradun. Currently, I am pursuing MBA in aviation management from there and I feel lucky to be part of it. UPES Dehradun is India’s First Energy University and also the first Private University to be recognized by UGC.It designs, develops and delivers cutting edge education and training programs for professionals in the Oil, Gas and Energy industry.

It depends on people that they choose...MBA and Mtech are equally good...but it depends on someones interest that they can take either mba or mtech.if you have interest in business field, choose mba.or if in research or teaching, mtech is best.

Everything depends on mind set of the student. If he is interesting doing management and better looking for future then she/he should do MBA otherwise M.Tech is better valuable for any engineer student .

I think to do m.tech will be better for an engineering b.tech student because if you have one time join the science stream. So you better do complete it and don't apply your mind at any another field. On my belief, MBA is not suitable for an engineering student. An engineer would have to apply his mind on one particular thing in an organisation and if he will do the job of manager also by doing MBA, so he can't apply his mind in his project and can't handle his employers. Thats why on my personal belief, m.tech is best for an engineering student.

It all depends upon your interest if you want to be with machines all your life then definitely go for M.tech . But if you feel like handling the economy of a company or in some case want to have your own company then go for MBA .
There's no hard and fast rule that a student with a science background should continue his further studies in science only .
But those who are still thinking I'll suggest them to look around themselves . And see who stands out of the crowd ! A student with a crown of MBA or somebody with a shield of M.tech ! They'll get their answer !!

Depend on your intrest i.e.  Same track (M.tech) or huge salary(MBA)  changing track is not good  so I think M.Tech from good college  otherwise don't do

I really do not believe anyone can say an MBA engineer is better than an M-tech engineer. This is like comparing an apple and orange and asking, Which is better an apple or an orange. They are both good to some people; neither is good to other people; an apple is better than an orange to some people and an orange is better than an apple to others.

For some people depending upon personal interest and choice of career path an MBA in Engineering would be the best choice. However, for other people to be certified as an M-Tech engineer would be the best choice.

If, one wants to be an electrical, mechanical, electronics, or chemical engineer he/she would study the required college courses, which provide and fulfill the requisites for a Masters degree, in one of the above or other engineering fields. However, if one wants to choose a career in telecommunications and network design he/she would normally attend a school of technology. To become a telecommunications engineer an M-tech, one is certified as an engineer. He or she has chosen a different course of study than an MBA engineer, yet is very qualified for the career chosen.

An engineer with an MBA is qualified for the work he/she will do in the field he/she has chosen. Likewise the M-tech certified engineer is qualified for the work he/she will do in the field he/she has chosen. Therefore an MBA is not better than and M-tech and vice versa.

If you get a technically solid education -- in engineering or chemistry then think about getting a law degree. This combination provides a lot of flexibility and insight into many aspects of business. The more math that you can take, the better. Math gives a lot of insight into basic processes. A degree in electrical engineering generally requires a lot of math -- if you can struggle through this it helps a lot.
