You can have convex and concave mirrors and lenses both.
A concave lens/mirror moves inwards and you see the object smaller. The outer part is thick and the inner part is thin and it is curved. (you can remember it by the word cave behind con, The lens or mirror moves in like a cave moves in)
And the convex lens/mirror moves outward and you can see the object or reflection larger.The outer part of the lens is thin and the center is thick(it is curved)
