You will need the following supplies:
•1/2 gallon juice or milk container
•Cereal box or some cardboard
•Regular masking tape
•Brown paper bag
•4 plastic container lids
•1 big straw
•2 small straws
•4 feet thin wire (coat hanger)
Cut your juice container in half lengthways. When you have a half-container (it will form the bottom of your wagon), completely cover it in masking tape to disguise the advertising.
To form the seat of the covered wagon, cut two bits of cardboard for the bench sides, and another for the seat, and tape them together.
For the cover on the wagon, cut and bend three hoops of wire and glue or tape them to the inside of your juice-carton wagon. Then stretch your brown paper ‘canvas’ over them and glue it in place. A good tip for extra credit is to crumple the paper before you glue it into place " it gives your wagon cover that realistic ‘hide’ look. Similarly for the wheels, the easy way is to cut out four identical discs of cardboard, draw some spokes on them and glue them in place on each of the corners. These wheels won’t move though. If you want rolling wheels, cut your big straw in two and slip your small straws inside them. Glue one of you plastic lids to each side of the small straws (cut to the right width), and then attach the small-straws-in-big straw axle units to the back and front of the wagon. Now your wagon will really roll.
