The results for exams from the West African Examinations Council for the 2010/2011 period have already been released. As of this moment, all exam results up to and including the May/June 2011 period have been released by the WAEC. Candidates can check their results at www.waecdirect.org.

The process for checking your results online is relatively simple but will require you to have a few of your personal details available.

  • WAEC Examination Number

You must begin by entering the 10-digit number that was issued by the WAEC. This number is a combination of both the 7-digit center number of the institute where you sat the exam and your personal 3-digit candidate number.

  • Examination year

The next piece of information required is the year within which you sat the exam. In this case it will be 2010 or 2011. Results are available online all the way back to 1991 so you can check the entire back catalog of results if you still have the relevant details available to enter.

  • Exam type

Then you must enter the type of examination you sat. This is usually either November/December or May/June depending on whether you sat the exam in the winter or the summer.

  • Card Serial Number and Personal Identification Number

Both these numbers can be found the personal scratch card that you should have in your possession. Once you have entered all of these details, you should be ready to submit them and locate your results.

If candidates are experiencing any problems with looking for their results, they can look to the online support system or telephone support line for any assistance.
