First you need to subtract eight from that side and out it on the opposite side so that it is 2x+y-8 then, you need to subtract y from tht side and put it on the side the eight was on therefore making it 2x-8=y . That puts it into mx+b= y format.   Then you start graphing!   First put a point at negative 8 since it is -8 and not +8.   Then from that point you go up 2 and to the right 1 since you have to put 2x over 1.   The top number is how many times you go up and the bottom number which in this case is one is the amount of units you move to the right. Make as many points as you can until the line starts to form through the x and y axis
