My daughter is a writer.  I can tell you what works for her.  When ages blocked, she writes........just writes anything.  There's an excellent chance that it will we a bunch of gibberish but she just keeps writing.  It may take hours......... It may take days but eventually she finds that she is unblocked.

Writer's block is terrible. I find taking a break helps a lot, whether it is a 20 minute walk or just find something else to do for a week. Everyone needs a break otherwise they will burn out.

You'll find inspiration where and when you least expect it so don't be too hard on yourself when your mind turns to mush - relax, it'll soon return :D

Watch a movie, play a game, listen to some music, go for a walk, sit in a coffee shop and watch people walking by. Inspiration is all around you, you just need to find the right moment to capture and translate it into compelling writing.
