However, there is a non-profit organization's learning institute and an accredited for-profit training centre which offers CNA classes in Fort Worth Texas. With approval from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, the facility specializes in training for medical careers only. Graduates are equipped to begin work immediately in an entry-level capacity in a health care profession. Patient care technicians are CNAs with advanced training. Patient care technician training at PCI consists of classroom instruction, interactive laboratory and hands-on externships in medical facilities. A 600-hour training program, the patient care technician curriculum can be completed in 24 weeks.
