The GED (general educational development) tests are tests specific to America and Canada that measure the skills of a high-school level student. Only people who do not have a high school diploma can take a GED test, as the tests are meant as an equivalent to a diploma, for those who have not passed through the high school system due to reasons such as immigration or home tutoring.

The cost of taking a GED varies depending on the state. This information can be found at any testing centre, and testing centres are generally places such as adult-education centres, community colleges, and public schools. Taking the GED costs the same all across a state, so if it costs $30 in one testing centre, it will cost the same all across that state. 1300 Rosa Parks Blvd Detroit mi 4216 from Monday to Friday  at 8:15am, or Visions GED Testing Center; 18985 Biltmore Street, Detroit, MI 48235-3032, United States +1 313-838-3801 are two testing facilities in Detroit MI. It costs $30 to take the GED at either centre.
